You can only get to War Island in the summer months. Around the months of July and August, Serbia puts a floating military bridge, which is also suitable for military cars, and you can cross the river. The experience of crossing the bridge is an attraction in itself. When you cross the bridge you will come straight to the beach next to it, which is actually a beach on a river, but it is sandy and fun, so you will find many people bathing there. The bridge is located on Zemun Promenade, so you can combine other attractions with a trip there, and enjoy the restaurants along the river called “splav”.
